Changes in Verisign's Renewal, Deactivation and Deletion Process

New Renewal Notification Process

1. Twice a month, a consolidated renewal notice will be sent to you via e-mail detailing all domain names expiring within the next 75 days.

2. On the anniversary date of each domain name that you have not renewed, a notice will be e-mailed to the registrant of the domain name informing him that the name is pending deactivation.

3. Six (6) days after the anniversary date, all domain names that you have not renewed will be deactivated and will no longer resolve. An e-mail will be sent to the registrant informing of the deactivation.

4. Thirty-eight (38) days after the anniversary date of the domain name, all domain names that you have not renewed will be deleted.

Names With an Anniversary Date Before July 1, 2002

Please note that all domain names that have expired at any time prior to July 1, 2002 will be deactivated beginning July 29, and deleted beginning on August 12 if renewal payment is not received.
